WaterFilter Tracker is a simple and intuitive app that helps you monitor your water filters, track replacements, and keep a full maintenance history. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use our iOS application and any related services (“Services”).

1) Consent

By using WaterFilter Tracker, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

• Filter Data (on device): Filter names, locations (e.g., kitchen sink, main line), types, installation dates, expected lifespan, notes, and status (upcoming, due, overdue). This information is stored locally on your device.
• Maintenance History: Records of filter changes, including dates and optional notes, so you can review past replacements.
• Reminders & Settings: Reminder times, notification preferences, dark-mode setting, and other app configuration choices are stored on your device.
• Tips & Content Usage (optional analytics): Anonymous, aggregated data (for example, which sections of the app are used most often) may be collected to improve app design and maintenance tips. This data does not include your specific filter details.
• Support & Feedback: If you send feedback or request support via email or the support form, we may collect your name, email address, device information you provide (e.g., iPhone model, iOS version), and the content of your message and attachments.
• Crash Reports (optional): If enabled through your device settings, anonymized crash data may be shared to help diagnose and fix technical issues.

3) How We Use Your Information

• To provide core features such as dashboard statistics, filter list management, history tracking, tips, and reminders.
• To maintain and improve app performance, stability, and design.
• To respond to your support requests, bug reports, or feedback.

4) Data Storage & Security

Filter data, history, and settings are stored locally on your device. If you use device-level backups (such as iCloud backups), your data may be included in those backups under Apple’s terms and privacy policies. • Analytics & crash reports: Where available, you can turn off optional analytics or crash reporting in your device settings.
• Support data: You can request that we delete past email correspondence and support messages you have sent to us.

8) Data Retention

Filter data and maintenance history remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. Support emails and related communication are kept only as long as necessary to assist you and comply with legal obligations.

9) International Use

If you access WaterFilter Tracker from outside our primary operating region, your information may be processed and stored in a country with different data protection laws than your own. By using the app, you consent to this processing.

10) Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect improvements or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or other channels.
